   In brief :
I was born, and hopefully am still alive. I explore pottery, make and teach it.

   In detail:
I was born in Petach Tikwa, Israel, at 1962. (That makes me about 43 years old these days),
and still live in it with my wife and children. My studio ,"Botz Pottery" located at Segula - an industrial
zone of the city and also the home of it's cementery.

Learned at:
Well, I would like to consider myself an autodidact but I can't really do so.
I spent a year in the ceramic department of Bezalel art academy in Jerusalem.
I really began my ceramic training at ceramics class of Vizo high school in Tel Aviv.
At this school I had the oportunity and to learn from Ms. Mod Fridland.
I began my first studio at the summer of 1984 relying mainly on my interpataition for Michael Cardew
and Bernard Leach ideas, as they express them in "Pioneer Pottery" and "A Potter's Book.
I still respond to Leach and Cardew ideas, base on them and urgu with them.


Worked at:
My first studio established at 1983 in Ma'alot, a small town in the Galilee.
at summer 1987 I moved back to Petach-Tiqva and began the studio again at 30 Shtampper st'
14 and a half years later, at april 2002, studio has moved to current location
at 41 Ha'aluf David Markus St' ,Petach Tiqva .

Published:
An article about pottery and ceramics in Masa Acher Magazine Feb/March 1991.

Exhibited:
One solo exhibition, 1999 at "Shlush Shloshim" Gallery TEl Aviv.
Some groupe exhibitions. During the years at different locations.

Teaching
At the Last 15 years, from 1987 until these days I teach Potter's Wheel Throwing classes at my studio.
During 2 years (1993-1995)I tought ceramics at Haifa University.
I had one year (1996/7) of teaching ceramics and sculpture at Vizo high shcool in Tel-Aviv.
I delivered decorating techniqes workshops at "Leumi chemicals Ltd." (ceramic supplier).

Consultation
From 1997 until September 2002 I worked for "Leumi chemicals Ltd" (ceramic supplier)as their
consultant. My job was to support company customers at problem they faced using ceramic materials.
and provide company managers and owners with ceramics consultation.
